Arthur Carvalho named as first Dinesh & Ila Paliwal Innovation Chair

The Farmer School of Business at Miami University is pleased to announce Dr. Arthur Carvalho, Assistant Professor of Information Systems & Analytics as the first Dinesh & Ila Paliwal Innovation Chair.

Dr. Carvalho received his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo and taught at Erasmus University prior to joining the Information Systems and Analytics department at the Farmer School in 2016. He has already authored or co-authored six scholarly publications in his Farmer School career and has developed a new blockchain course which will be available to Miami University students during the spring 2019 semester.

Marc Rubin, dean and Mitchell P. Rales Chair in Business Leadership, remarked, “The creation of the Dinesh & Ila Paliwal Innovation Chair shines a spotlight on a skillset that is key to our students’ success and Dr. Carvalho’s dedication and skill in this area makes him the ideal candidate for this honor. We are thankful for the foresight and support from Ila and Dinesh.”
